THE ADVANTAGES OF VIDEO

Video is proving to be an effective teaching tool. Educators have been successfully using video in

a clinical setting. The use of video provides "another set of eyes" that can help improve a coach's

awareness of events under their supervision. Video also provides an excellent way to evaluate

performance, identify areas for improvement, and provide a different perspective on practices

and games.

HOW THE SERVICE WORKS

Whether you contract to have us mic and record a practice, sideline, or game, a pre and post conference will be held to get the most effective use of the taping. During the pre and post conference we sit down to discuss goals. The post conference allows us to review specific actions and situations that will help the coach gain the greatest learning from the video. A copy of the video will be provided to the coach at the conclusion of our work.

ALL VIDEOTAPING WILL INCLUDE AN AUDIO ELEMENT USING OUR WIRELESS MIC SYSTEM

VIDEOTAPING PRACTICE

The goal is to observe how drills are being carried out, what role the assistants are playing, how resources are being used and time is being managed, and to identify any individual or team skills that need greater attention.

VIDEOTAPING THE SIDELINE

The sideline can be a hectic place, with coaches and players all engaged in activity. Video can help evaluate how effectively the coaching staff is managing the sideline, observe player dynamics, and see how the Head Coach interacts with players, coaches, officials, and the opposing team through both verbal and non-verbal communication.

VIDEOTAPING THE GAME

Both coaches and players can benefit from observing how well the players are performing their individual and team skills. Player awareness is greatly increased by seeing their actual behavior rather than simply being told what they are doing. Goalies in particular have benefitted greatly from being able to view and assess their actions. We can mic both a coach and player during the game.to better understand how they are each viewing game situations as they transpire.
